First AG

I haven't posted here in a while, due to my doctoral program carrying out a hostile takeover of my life, but I just doughed in on EdWort's Haus Pale Ale, my first AG ever (built a mash-tun with a 10G Igloo cooler), and hit the mash temp dead on. So far so good. Thanks to all here who shared their knowledge (and MLT plans); I probably wouldn't have done this without seeing how much fun the rest of you have with it. Off to heat up some sparge water.

Aside from not planning ahead on the whole hops I used (lost a good deal of volume to what they absorbed), it went really well. Hit my intended OG, and it's bubbling away in the basement now. I'm sure it would have been a trainwreck if not for this site. And yeah, it really was fun.
