Hey guys
Well after brewing about a dozen kits with only minor changes made to them (extra pounds of honey, tablespoon of cinnamon, that kind of thing) I am finally throwing the book out and going for my first off-the-cuff brew. Wanted some opinions from you guys about how this will turn out. It was conceptualized while camping in Northern Maine trying to figure out how to capture all of what we were smelling in a bottle. So here goes...
1 lb. Chocolate Malt
1 lb. 2-row
Mash @ 155* for 30 minutes
5 lbs. Light LME
Bring to boil
1 oz. Magnum hop pellets for 60 min.
1 oz. Kent Golding hop pellets for last 10 minutes
1 lb. Maple syrup last 5 minutes
1 tbsp cinnamon last 2 minutes
Normal primary. Rack to secondary @ 7-10 days on top of 4 oz. medium toasted french oak chips.
Think that's all. Any thoughts will be much appreciated!
Cheers
