Hi aaaaall!
I'm wondering what is the preferred final gravity for your personal taste, so if someone would share his personal taste referred to the final gravity I will really appreciate!

I'm planning to stop fermentation with pasteurisation at 1,005, aiming to get a semi sweet cider.

What do you think? Is it too much in your opinion or is it too low? Do you usually ferment dry? And this is because in your country you're used to drink dry, semi sweet or sweet or is your personal taste?

A lot of question... But it's like a poll :)

Thank you all for you replies!

We all taste sweet and tart or acid a little differently.

I prefer my ciders more dry so allow them to go to <1.000 My wife prefers semi sweet and for them I let it go to 1.004 - 1.008 for her.

Thanks @CKuhns for your preferences :)

I'm planning to stop fermentation using pasteurisation at 1,005 hoping there will be enough co2 to have a light sparkling cider.

Started to ferment in bottle at 1,010.

Now I'm near 1,007 so I think next week I'll do the pasteurisation.

Thank you!
