Hi all, I have been reading so much information on filtering, I am just curious if anyone filters there beer and what system they use...I have some ideas on a home made system, just not sure if I want to try or not...Can anyone let me know if they filter at all and how they do it?

Thanks..:mug:

I don't because I have not deemed it necessary. Cold crashing and time take care of it for me.

+1, but I take it one step further and use gelatin. My beer come out very clear. I had considered filtering but "worry" about subjecting my beer to an additional surface where it could pick up nasties.

The question that needs to be answered is why or what are you trying to do? I have used the canister filters, and they did work to clear and maybe "age" a bit, but I just did it because... it was one more cool thing to do. I'm over that. Some say filtering strips taste, but you can make up for that in the recipe. Gelatin or other finings will clear up the beer very well for alot less $$.
