I want to make a home made false bottom, just out of SS perforated sheets. (they have it at mcmaster)
I want to know about what size opening the holes need to be. If someone out there has a blichmann false bottom, and a set of calipers.. if you could measure it that would be great.

otherwise.. any guesstimates? 1/8"? more/less?

hah oh yeh.. i was picturing the polar ware pots when i was typing blichman..

either way, the height that the blichmanns' little punches come off the bottom.. that will work too, i just need to know how big an opening can be w/o letting grain through.. and i figure blichmann or the like has put some research into this and have an optimal size.
