i've made about 6 different beers w/extract kits different brands, styles etc.
but they all have an odd after taste, have gone to all grain add this has helped. every one that taste my beer loves it but, i'm not satisfied with the taste. i like the taste of , killians, boston lager,st pauli girl,. " anybody tell me what i'm doing wrong" do i need to use more grains per batch. i dont use much sugar, i use rice, corn to raise alc. is there something they do that makes there beer different ?? thanks for any help.

In my opinion, the biggest difference in getting beer that doesn't have that "homebrew" taste as it is sometimes called, is yeast pitching rate. Brew a beer you've already done before, and double up on the yeast. Also, try a strain of yeast that is going to enhance your beer, not just ferment it. Instead of US-05, maybe try S-04, or S-23 if making lager styles.
