I bought 1 lbs of euro caramel pils and I am trying to add it to my recipe in BeerSmith2 and it isn't listed in their inventory. My brew store told me it a 1.2 to 2.3 lovibond. Could it be listed as something else?

Also, when I look at BeerSmith's inventory their malts are listed with a SRM not lovibond. Are lovibonds and SRM the same?

You can add the grain as an option to choose from but before you do go and check the add-ons. He puts plenty of updates there so you can see if your grain may be listed there.

Idk about the sum vs lovibond. Try Google

There was a thread here which had a Lovibond /SRM formula in it.

Basically they are the same but as beer gets darker the numbers get further apart.
