Drying plate chiller

So I have a plate chiller and recently started using this to read the output of the wort:

In the past, I've used the oven @250F for 30 min or so to help dry out the chiller. Is there any reason why this thermometer and teflon tape shouldn't go in a 250F oven?

I remove my thermometer before drying the plate chiller in the oven, but teflon tape does fine even at 450 deg for an hour.

Consider an arrangement that lets you take all fittings off the plate chiller to allow moisture to escape during drying. My stone detaches and goes in the oven separately at the same time as the chiller.
