I have an IPA fermenting, but my thermometer was broken and I didnt realize it until halfway through mashing. It said 150, but I think i mashed at about 165 for half of the mash. my OG was only at about 1.023. I am thinking about boiling rice syrup or LDME and adding it to the fermentation carboy. IS this a good idea? Thanks guys!

Eek... There's a lot more wrong here than just your temps. Being at 165 would substantially hit your fermentability, but you still should have a higher gravity than 1.023. In order to get your gravity up to proper IPA range, you'd have to add a lot of simple sugar. You won't have beer, you'll have hootch. Have you tasted it? Any chance of letting this ride as a small beer?
