Drain troll

Hey all,

There was a post here on hbt where someone make a joke about making an offering to the drain troll whenever they dumped a bad batch.

Does anyone have a link to that thread?

I've tried searching on a couple occasions, but drain and troll seem only to pull up posts about forum trolls.

I couldn't find any threads referencing an offering to the drain troll except this one but I did find a bunch referencing offering to the drain/brew/beer gods. Search [offering and drain and gods site:homebrewtalk.com] in Google without the brackets and that should narrow your search a bit.

Since 2011 I've only dumped 2 brews, both had infections and both were in that year. I've since corrected the sanitation problem and not had to dump any.

I like how in wineries, the amount that seeps out of the barrels is called the "angels' share"

And the bit that stays absorbed in the barrel wood is the "devil's cut" Or maybe that's just whiskey.
