Double pitch US-05 in NB Plinian Progeny?

I'm thinking about hydrating and pitching 2 SafeAle US-05 packets when I brew my Progeny extract kit. It's 1.090 OG. Any comments or concerns about this? I was going to originally get the Wyeast 1056 and do a starter but out of 50+ full boil 5 gallon extract batches the only issues I've ever had were with liquid yeast so I decided last minute on the dry. I used liquid yeast on a big tripel a couple of years ago and ended up re-pitching after a week due to being stuck (which is why I always have an extra pack of US-05 on hand now). I just remember reading somewhere about how over pitching can negatively affect the beer. Thanks in advance.....

I'd recommend two packets at 1.090
