So a buddy got me a wyeast california lager smack pack awhile back and was planning on making a doppelbock with it. I was wondering if there was anything I could make with the second runnings of it with an ale yeast? I know anything goes with homebrewing and all but was just curious if there was a style I'm not even aware of that I could base things off of.

the doppelbock recipe i'm going to brew looks like this...

3.5 gal batch size

10 lb munich
4 lb 8 oz pilsner malt
4 oz carafa III

.5 oz tettnang FWH
.7 oz tettnang 20 min

wyeast cali lager

maybe add abunch of dark wheat and remash while the first runnings are boiling to make a dunkelweizen?

I was thinking about doing more along the lines of a Marzen/Oktoberfest for the second runnings. I know thats gonna be a lager but would work good. I did an American Brown recently that was heavy on Munich Malt and turned out good so you might want to add some extra base with some specialty to bring home a good brown ale.
