More of a general question than anything I guess... But when you want to scale a recipe back to make, for instants, a 4 gallon batch, you simply scale back the ingredients by 20% if the batch was a 5gal recipe? Recipe amounts are linear right?
I want to watch the fermentation happen this time, so I was going to use my glass carboy but since its only 5 gallons, I figure a 4 gal batch would be about right, right?
