Do you have to boil the bottel caps?

Very few folks these days boil their caps, the plastic gasket inside of modern caps would be ruined.

I soak mine in my favorite sanitizer. WHat I usually do is drop 54 caps into my vinator bowl since it is full of sanitizer on bottling day.
 
awesome man! I'd filling off the keg with a counter pressure filler and it will be so much easier to just soak them in san star for a few minutes.

I wonder if this explains some carbonation inconsistencies I've noticed in the past?

I'll never boil again!

I use the oxygen absorbing caps, giving me one more reason not to boil. I simply soak them in star san or Iodophor. They do need to be sanitized, but boiling is not needed.
