I know beer snobs, craft aficionados, and home brewers have a distaste for the big three. I just wonder if this translates to the at home distiller, the backbone of NASCAR. (I have no knowledge regarding the legality of your craft). Do you harbor a dislike for things like Jack Daniels etc?

Excellent question. Just don't expect much, if any, response.

Home distillation for personal consumption is illegal on the federal level throughout the united states. And discussions of home distillation on HBT are frowned on.

It is a good question. Being a novice in small batch spirits. Does Jack, or whomever buy up small distilleries and then turn a good product into undrinkable?
And a follow up question. Most home brewers dream of starting their own brewery, and thankfully, there are a lot that do. Being illegal at home, how does one go about starting a distillery (short of prior work experience)?

Shouldn't stop us non-Americans :mug:
