Hi,

I've been reading as much as I can about making my own immersion chiller. It seems most people are using soft refrigeration copper coils from their LHS. I have found what I think most people are referring to at various stores near me in Canada. For example:
Aqua-Dynamic Copper Refrigeration Coil 3/8 Inch x 50 Foot from Home Depot

My concern is that it seems that this type of copper is only rated for max temperature of 65C/150F.

Am I looking at the wrong copper or are people just using this anyway and getting away with it for much higher temps?

Thanks

ACR tubing like that is typically temperature rated at pressure and vice versa, with the former up to 400°F and the latter up in the 900+ psi range. There'll actually be a curve if one can find it, but a domestic water supply pressure will be an order of magnitude too low to be of any concern wrt blow-out...at any temperature...

Cheers!
