Hi.
I brewed a beer this past summer as usual. I cleaned my stainless six gallon brew kettle and put it away. Today, I busted it out and made a new batch. As I ran my hot wort out of the bulkhead spigot it was running slowly.. I though perhaps it was the trub. After I was finished, I again cleaned the kettle and in the bulk head spigot a few nasties, probably whole leaf hops from last summer.
I'm hoping I can get my yeast kicking before anything grows such as bacteria. Any thoughts?
