I have diffusion stones / carbonation stones in all my kegs and they worked fantastic for several months. After the batch I would leave them in the keg while I Ovyclean. Now I am finding that they all are clogged and my beer isn't carbonating properly.

Any advice or experience would be appreciated.

What material are your diffusion stones made of? If they are stainless steel have you tied boiling them for 15 minutes in water? If you're using an aquarium aeration stone, your best bet is to simply replace it. One other trick is to keep the gas/air on when removing then immediately sticking it into clean water.

I use aquarium stones, stored in vodka between batches. I get four stones for about 2 dollars and replace as needed. I have had one infection since the seventies and I don't think it was related to the stone.
