Crystal 40L vs 10L need more body please help!

Brewing up the Cascade Orange pale ale recipe for the second time, would using Crystal 40L instead of Crystal 10L give it more body or just a darker color. any insight would be great. i am looking to give it a little bit more body.

All-grain or extract?

If it is all-grain knock the mash temperature up to get more body. If extract, what is the recipe. The 40 will give you more color and more caramel flavor.

Won't affect the body in any discernible way. Just the color and the taste.

I brewed the OC with 40L and it lended a much more amber color and caramel flavor. I actually prefer it... I have that recipe listed in a thread. Complete with pics, video and the recipe.

great, that was some quick responses. I will check out POL video and recipe thanks for the info. The first batch of this recipe i made turned out great just thought i would tweak it a bit.

The first batch i made had almost a perfume taste the hops were so strong is that from the 2 ounce dry hop? I did the recipe to a T. So this time around i was going to try Crystal 40L and made only dry hop with 1 ounce cascade.
