Title says it all. For the last few weeks, I've noticed that there have been crusty/gummy beer deposits that form around the base of the faucet valve on my Danby:

So far, sanitizer and a toothbrush have worked OK, but it seems that there's an o-ring or something else going wrong inside, because even after cleaning, it takes a few pulls on the tap handle to get it working properly (even though it dispenses fine either way...and the faucets/tower are less than 6 months old!). Any ideas?

That's exactly the reason why a lot of people upgrade to a Stainless Steel Perlick 525SS faucet.
Better more sanitary design that eliminates the issues you are seeing.

Hi

You need some good beer line cleaner. You also may need to pull the faucet off the shank and let it soak in the stuff overnight.

The chrome plated Perlick's are less than $20 each ...
