I am planning on brewing this weekend, and wanted any suggestions to my recipe.

.5 lbs Caramel 10l steeped for 20 minutes @160°
6 lbs extra light LME, 1/2 for full boil, 1/2 at 15 minutes
.5 oz Mangum hops full boil
2 oz Centennial at 15 minutes
Whirlfloc at 10 mins.
WLP005 California yeast

I am hoping for something light and refreshing for summer time.

Sounds good! Should be light, with nice spicy, citrus hop aroma and taste, and a clean finish with the Magnum for the bittering.
Ever tried adding your LME at flameout? I've been doing that for the last 7 or so batches, and it seems to up the OG, and make a crisper beer. And if there are no steeping grains in the recipe I add maybe 1/4 of the LME to full boil. No boil overs either:) I also learned my lesson early about controlling fermentation temperatures:eek: Let us know how it turns out :mug:

I agree with CBXBob! I'd maybe use a tiny amount of the LME with the steeping grains, and add the rest at flameout.

However, Magnum and Centennial are both pretty high AA% hops. For the Centennial I might do 1 oz @ 15' and 1 oz @ 5’, or maybe 1 oz @ 10' and 1 oz @ 5', depending on the AA%.

And definitely make a starter. Looks like a nice, moderately hoppy blonde. :)
