Hi everyone. I'm very new to home brewing, so I don't understand the effect of everything I'd like to try. I've seen two different recipes that I'd like to combine and was wondering if any of you would have some feedback before I attempt it. It's a combination of the Coopers Unreal Ale and Toucan Ale. Here's what I'm thinking:

2 x 1.7kg can Coopers Real Ale
1kg Coopers Brew Enhancer 1
500g Light Dry Malt
1 x 50gm of Wakatu or Hallertau hops (for dry hopping)
1 x yeast packet from kit

Any thoughts on this? Thanks, everyone!

First thing that came to mind was use 2 yeast packets, and personally, I'd rehydrate them too. That's usually the way to go with beers that gravity (1.078 by my calc), assuming you're doing 5 gal..

I re-hydrated 4 of their 7g yeast packets in the Burton ale I did with two Cooper's cans, 3lbs of Munton's plain light DME & 3ozs of hops. BE1 is just dextrose. If you want to dry it out a bit that'd be OK. But if you want a bit heavier body & flavor, replace it with plain light DME.
