I am in the process of cultivating a batch of yeast from a bottle of Coniston Bluebird Bitter and I'm still deciding on a recipe. So far it's growing and smells good so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I've read that their yeast is a unique strain and it's also a cousin of WY 1275 and WL 023. Someone who wrote to Coniston directly for help with a clone said they didn't get much detail on the yeast (although they did provide more on other ingredients).

I'm not looking to clone Bluebird, but am interested in characteristics of the yeast. Does anyone have experience with it? Is it similar to 023 or 1275 , and would we be talking as in close sibling or 4th cousin 3 times removed?
