Have I got this right...in order to go to CoderCon this February in Chicago you first need to become a member of USACM at a price between $175-1000, plus you then can register at a cost of between $275-600? (I couldn't seem to register on the website without first becoming a member of USACM.) These costs exclusive of travel expenses, too....:confused:
 
I think you are right, doesn't sound like they want enthusiasts to attend just industry folks.
 
Is there any more detailed schedule posted? All I see is one that says 'concurrent sessions' without explaining speakers, topics, etc. A little odd.
 
There's a full list of topics out there somewhere. Saw it two days ago, but can't locate it now. Looks like they're still working on finalizing the schedule to minimize similar talks, panels, and seminars from overlapping.
 
Just looked at the registration and it looks like registration will be $600 for you to attend. Unless you could hook up with a cidery and get in as an employee or something with them. Where are you from?
