Hey Yall,

Brewing tomorrow and been trying to clean my 6.5 gallon glass carboy. I have PBW soaked and brushed, and even threw a teapot of boiling water and brushed. This white spot shown in the photo has not budged, do yall think this could be a flaw in the glass? Any other cleaning tips or has anyone seen anything like this?

Thanks.

lime scale at the spot where a drop forms and dries instead of falling when its upside down to drain.

CLR soak it and it should clean up.

Amandabab,

Do not have any CLR currently, trying a white vinegar and hot water soak. So far no budge, even took a racking cane and abrasive green scrubbing pad in there, so far no luck. Will this hurt my next batch if this stain is there?

Thanks.

Homebrew shop near my place sold me a new carboy this week for 10$, brand new... If your not able or sure about your actual one, i'd say go for the new;)
