Calgary Alberta - Hops Wanted

Hello!

It is the middle of winter here so I'm preparing for spring 2016. I am going to start growing my own hops. I will be building a raised bed for them (for some reason the wife doesn't want them in vegetable garden...) and I am looking for some seeds or cuttings in the spring.

Is there anyone out there local to the Calgary area who would be willing to hook me up come spring?

Hello Louis, don't use seeds.... you need rhizomes or small plants. You can contact Sandra at Prairie Gem Hops in Manitoba if you don't find someone closer for hops.

I also suggest Beer Grains Supply.They stock hop rhizomes in the spring.

I went with Prairie Gem Hops. Had some good variety.

Just have to get the planters ready.

Hopsconnect in Pemberton, BC is also a great rhizome supplier. Shipping is a good price and they usually have a good variety. I got mine from the nice guys at Harvesters of Organic Hops (HOOH) in Lillooet. You can also order from Crannog/Left Fields. But it sounds like you're already set!!!
