I have brewed 5 batches (2 were PM) and am slowly getting equip to go allgrain.
I have 1 turkey fryer. Should I get another turkey fryer or build my own burner with a cast iron, 16 port burner. I found this burner in a downtown LA in a chinatown restaurant supply shop for $16. I plan to stay with 5 gallon batches, do I need the additional BTU? Do I need more BTU on my HLT or brewpot?
 
Most burners will provide enough BTU to do what you want, and efficiently at that. Make sure you check that your burner uses propane, because it may be NG.
