I went fishing in pa and stopped at a place called the elk creek cafe. Their house beer was called "Brookie brown ale" I was just curious if anyone had ever had it or knows the recipe or a recipe close to it??
I've had it! It is very good... chocolately/caramely without being cloying. Lighter carbonation. Balanced bitterness.
I'd start with something like Jamil's brown ale reicipe (LINK). Maybe bump up the chocolate malt a bit, or add 8 oz of pale chocolate malt for more depth?
