might be a deal

if you are going to do full boil five gallon batches you may find it a bit small, folks are saying the pot is 7.5 gallons

if you are going to do a partial boil you would be fine with it I would say

all the best

I have one. The pot is just big enough for doing 5 gallon batches. You have to start off very carefully until some has boiled off then you can ramp up the heat. The pot is aluminum so you will want to boil water in it for 30 minutes to create an oxitation layer before brewing in it. This will keep any aluminum taste from transferring into the beer.

I now have 2) 10 gallon stainless pots.

I still use it for my HLT. I have a Bayou Classic SP10 for my boil kettle. It is a little hotter and quicker.

If you get one there is a pressure switch that the pot sits on. It is a heat sensor and will shut off the gas when you don't want it to. Take the wires off the terminals on the switch and connect the spade ends together to disable it.
