So I already did a search and there is only 1 topic on this malt to date. Anyway, anyone else have any experience with it? Thoughts?

Thanks...

they sell it at my lhbs as "mild malt" I'm thinking of trying it next time I make mild. Its 5.3 deg lov, which sounds delicious as a base malt for mild and southern english brown Heck I'd make a barley wine with that sucker.

Yup, Did a New Castle attempt, a couple months ago.

9 lbs Ashburne
¼ lb Victory
1/8 lb Black Patent

Mash at 153

5/8 oz Fuggle 60 min
5/8 oz EKG 60 min
¾ oz EKG 15 min

WLP 005

Turned out great. Going to make another batch in a couple weeks.

Yeah, My take on it is it cuts down on the specialty malts. The down side is it is quite a bit more expensive than pale. Priced more like a specialty malt. That said, I really did like the beer, and am going to make another batch. May go into rotation.:mug:
