Trying for a simple Cascade based IPA

5.5 gallon batch

Grains:
14 lb American 2-row
1 lb Crystal 60
Calc 0.G. @ 70% efficiency is 1.068

Hops:
1 oz Nugget (14%) @ 60min
1oz Cascade (7.5%) @ 15min
1oz Cascade (7.5%) @ 10 min
1oz Cascade (7.5%) @ 0
Dry hop with 2 oz cascade

IBUS 65-70

Nottingham ale yeast slurry repitch
primary at 64 for 10 days
Secondary with dry hops for 2 weeks

I could sub warrior for nugget but I figure not much flavor difference in bittering and it's nice to work with whole numbers rather than 0.8 oz of Warrior.

I've heard that Willamette is a nice addition with cascade. I have some on hand- any suggestions on how much and when to add it for optimal effect or will it even matter with all the bitterness?

Thanks.

Overall, I like your recipe. Looks like a tasty brew!

If your not sure what Willamette hops will do for you, do not use them. You got a good thing going there with the Cascade.

Also, I use Nugget & Warrior hops for bittering qutie often. Both do a fine job, but I like Nugget a tad bit better. :)
