Braukaiser vs White

I'm in the process of making a stir plate.
I have a 60% viability yeast for a 1.090 wort.
As I look at the calculators I see White stir plate and Braukaiser stir plate options.
Are these just similar but different growth models, and if I hoped to err on the safe side, would I choose the White model?
A google search didn't reveal much...
 
I would start with 1l (using 100g dme) then add 0.5l (using 150g dme) after about24h if the viability is 50-100%.
That would be quite ok for 20-25l of 1.09 OG wort, if you use a stirplate. (Braukaiser)

So the 2 calculations, Braukaiser & White, are similar and just based on slightly different growth models?
