What I do:

1: Dishwasher with soap (removes the labels if any)
2: Blast Bottle Washer
3: Starsan
4: Bottle tree

Dishwasher with soap cause I like the bottles to be shiny and clean on the outside. :)

Edit:

:( I will not use soap I again I guess. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f14/no-head-beer-138950/

At least my next brew will be fine, I hope :)

Used this soap: http://www.finish.co.uk/finish_prod...t_dishwasher_detergent/finish_max_in_one.html in the dishwasher.

Then I used the Blast bottle washer.

Then I dipped the bottles into a pot with 9.4 liters of Starsan. filled the bottle, and emptied it.

Guess the Starsan became polluted with soap leftovers (if any, its not an old dishwasher) from the outside of the bottle?

Sheeesh!! After reading this thread, I've decided I'm parnoid about bottling. My procedure has been to first scrub well with brush and hot PBW, then rinse with the bottle rinser, then load 48 of 'em into the HLT and BK and boil for 15 min. Use tongs to remove and drain close to the boiling suface, then imediatly cover the necks with boiled aluminum foil patches and allow to cool covered with a small blanket. When cool, begin bottling. This was one of the reasons I've been kegging for the last 9 years, but a couple cases are still needed so often for friends and family. Wierd, huh?

Wow...I guess that is pretty anal, but no one should ever fault a guy for doing too much santizing!!
