Reporting from yesterday, day 2 of the beer festival at brouwerij de molen in holland, it was an excellent festival! line-up of beers more or less here:

i wish i could have tried them all, but some highlights were the fruit sours from mikkeler (they had 1/2 year and 1 year sour cherry spontaneously fermented, so you could taste the difference those 6 months make, and an outrageous sour blueberry, pictured), herb beers from narke (sweden; myrica gale and spruce beers were excellent), excellent weird stuff from jester king, their collaborations with mikkeler on bourbon aged stouts with coffee and chipotle were totally over the top yet somehow they made sense, and on and on... too many to name. good size of the festival, not too crowded, lots of dutch but a surprising number of very happy (north)americans, a good few brits, the odd kiwi/aussie, and some italians and spanish. lots of beards and black t-shirts, but even some women!!
i promised to post a few photos.
