OK, i got me a 15gallon keg and have converted it to a boil kettle!
used this weekend for first time doing my 1st 10gal batch!
my question is: how long does it take u guys to get this to boil? 12 gallons!
i am using a turkey fryer modified for NG! i drilled out orfice to 3/32 or 7/64" ?flame is nice and big but slow to heat! it took over 2 hours to get this to boil and this was after i tried the night before, i took almost an hour to get to 150, so i figured @ this rate i will be up all night, so i removed grain (extract batch) covered keg and came out next morning to find wort was still @ 100F'! 12hrs later! and this was on a cold night!!!!
so, should i drill out bigger: 1/8" , or change burner style! 10" banjo modified for NG or 23 tip NG burner?
like to one he http://www.agrisupply.com/bg-high-pressure-cast-iron-burner-/p/64494/ss/burner/
or one of these: http://www.cpapc.com/store/23-Tip-Round-Nozzle-Jet-Burner-natural-gas-P469C244.aspx

both of these burners are priced right, but would like to know which one in ur opinion will work best for me! i will be doing both 5 and 10 gallon batch's!
