I did some reading before making my black berry wine, and many recipes said that when racking into the secondary, only fill the carboy up to the shoulder and the rest goes in a bottle - also to the shoulder. Pictures showed the wine foaming into the remaining space.
I racked to the secondary a few days ago - it was in the primary for 12 days, got a little behind on taking care of it. I did as instructed and put it in 2 bottles with plenty of available headspace, but it's not foaming or anything. Since its not foaming up Im itching to combine them again because I don't like seeing the headspace.
The obvious questions here, Is anything wrong? Is it going to foam latter and I need to keep them seperate, or is it not going to foam and I should combine before that headspace causes problems?
