Big mouth bubble drilled for BB Simpleflo valve/ball valve?

Anyone tried this or have any pro's/con's to drilling out the plastic big mouth? I like the idea of a base valve for siphoning as I'm about to break my auto siphon over my knee. I would just get the better bottle pre drilled but c'mon, who doesn't want a big mouth for super easy clean up!

I used my plastic big mouth for the first time this weekend and one thing I noticed is that the plastic is rather thin. Especially at the bottom where you would install the base valve. I dont see it working, or lasting very long.

What's wrong with your auto syphon that makes you want to go a different route? People use them every day without issues.
