I have an old Beverage air DD58c that recently started acting up.

When the compressor tries to turn on I get a clicking sound. Since it just stopped all the sudden and with the new clicking sound I'm guessing it's a relay. Can anyone help shed some light on this?

I can't think of anything else it could be. It's not low on 134a as it still has the original sealed lines and had no trouble freezing kegs during the summer months. No leaks, nothing pointing me in this direction.

Any thoughts or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ryan

Sounds like a bad relay, or bad run capacitor. Using a multimeter, with caution, you can check the voltage after the relay and check the capacitor to figure out which one is bad. If the capacitor is bad, it will most likely be bulged out on the top and bottom as well.

What was the outcome? I have the same model and wanted to file this away for future reference in case I ever have the same issues. Thanks.
