I want to make a brew to have ready for Christmas. Im thinking a brown ale. Besides cinnamon and nutmeg what would be some good spices or ingredients to add?

In my Christmas Ale, which is in the fermentor right now, I used cinnamon sticks, all spice, nutmeg and whole clove for the spices. I also added molasses, brown sugar and orange juice. This all went into the boil @ 15. The boil smelled amazing, and the hydrometer sample had a nice spice to it. I plan to keg it in a few weeks so that it is ready for Christmas.

Cinnamon, orange peel, ginger, all spice, mace, cloves and star anise.

I made a tea with them and added at bottling.
Came out so good!

Just had a Southern Tier 2XMAS ale that tasted a lot like mine.

Anybody have suggestions on amounts of spices? I want them to be noticeable but not exactly the focal point of the beer. Think 4 out of 10 on spice strength...
