Best Compliment Plant for Hops?

I've searched around the forums and I often see people say that marigolds are good to grow with hops. Is there anything else anyone would suggest that I plant in my hops garden that will go well with hops?

I've heard roses or other plants that Japanese beetles love - aka a sacrificial plant

I planted marigolds last year with my hops. I didn't get aphids in anything but the ground got lots of red ants and the grasshoppers skipped over the marigolds straight for the hop leaves.
