Brewing a barleywine here soon. Just curious on everyone’s experience with either bottle conditioning or kegging. I’ve done bottle conditioning in the past but was thinking about kegging Then bottling with a beer gun off the keg.

Has anyone had experience with this? What’s the affect/effect on the beer?

Cheers

Aging in general is mostly a personal preference, and one of logistics, but bulk aging typically gives better results. That being said bottle conditioning could give you wonderful results. You'd need to pay special attention to yeast health at bottling and might consider pitching a bit of extra yeast to help out with carbonation. The original yeast from a beer near 10% will have probably had just about all they can take.
