I tried to sell a couple kegs in Denver for $60 each (figured someone might haggle to $55 or $50 each) and didn't get a single response.

I was a bit surprised to be honest.

I found a number of kegs for $20 each but were missing dip tubes and the ball lock fittings. Rebuilding them wouldn't have made it worthwhile unless you have spare parts lying around.
