I made my first gallon of mead about April of 2017, everything went pretty well, just honey and a vinilla stick, pretty simple. Everyone loved it. I drank a bottle and gave 2 bottles away and the last bottle I kept. I had a drink of the last bottle and It aged so well that I decided to give it another go.

This time I have:
  • 3 pounds honey
  • One vanilla stick
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup blackberries
  • 2 orange slices
  • 10-15 raisins
  • RedSar yeast (yellow pack)
This is in a 1 gallon glass carboy and I hope that everything works out. If it does I will be starting a gallon every month!

One thing I forgot is yeast nutrient, so I might have to throw that in there tonight if I have any left. Let me know what your favorite fruit mead mixture is, I need a lot of good ideas!
