Hi all guys,

are those hops usable. I picked them up in this state...

thanx

All hops are usable, the question becomes if you want to. Those are awfully brown and likely past their prime (or were starved for water). Do a rub test between you hands and see if they smell like something you would like in your beer. I'm betting that they are pretty cheesy

hi, well it was very hot here this summer so probably not enogh water, but they have decent amount of yellow powder. does brown color matters?

Color doesn't matter. What matters is the characters that end up in the beer.

Take two or three cones at room temp or warmer, grind them between your palms and smell the result.

While different strains will produce different aromatic characters, none of them smell like cheese in their prime.
If you get that character, they're compost...

Cheers!
