Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone has used these type of swing top bottles before?

Bormioli Rocco Square Swing Bottle 33.75 Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000CFMBL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fMsAybNVKFANH

I'm specifically going to be bottling my first attempt at a cider. I happen to have a bunch of these bottles around leftover from an event. Just wondering if anyone thinks these are OK or is it too risky?

Thanks.

They won't handle carbonation (read the Q&A on the listing) but if your cider is a still cider (non-sparkling) I'd use them.

Yea, I have been seeing conflicting reports. Looks like some people have used them successfully, but others explode with over carbing. one of those better safe than sorry moments.
