Are there any hop free beer recipes?

BYO did a recipe for spruce tip ale that had no hops. I'm going to brew it whenever I can get my hands on some.

Another one would be a Scottish ale called Fraoch. The Heather plant is used to flavor it.

In England and elsewhere before hops were used they would add all sorts of spices to beer including the afore mentioned sprue.

I think Radical Brewing had a recipe. If not, Randy Mosher at least talks about it. Definitely worth the read regardless.

Radical Brewing has at least one that is hop free.
However, its kinda like being allergic to cheese and wanting a pizza. Some things you are just meant to go without.

I have never seen better evidence that:

A) There is no god, or
B) He's a dick.

My LHBS owner brews a beer that he uses orange peel to bitter with. If you're interested I can get the recipe.

Is it the hops he's allergic to, or something else in the beer? Or maybe he just doesn't like beer?
