Apricot hef

I have a hef in the primary now, but plan on racking to a secondary on top of 5lbs of dried apricots. Do I need to boil them for a certain amount of time before racking on top of them to try and get rid of nasty stuff, or what would be the best course of action to take.

If they are prepackaged I would just put them in. You can bring some water up to boiling pull it off the stove and then give them a quick soaking in the hot water if it makes you feel better.
