I'm going to be getting within a month of bottling my first batch and wanted to know what's the favorite way to make it.. To carb or not to carb?? To back sweeten or not?? Could you post in the poll to choose a winner?
I believe it is traditionally served both ways actually.
I do not touch the stuff for at least 7 months. I find it not all that pleasant before that, but very good after. 7 months is the magic number for my process.
Anyone have any idea how many cans of apple juice concentrate to carbonate 5 gals?Definitely carbed, makes for a very refreshing summer beverage. However, I added a can of frozen concentrate to my batch, so that sweetens it up without the necessity of backsweetening.

About 1/2 a can. Read the nutritional info and do the math. You want ~28 grams of sugar per gallon. It usually works out to 1 "serving" per gallon. Cans usually contain 8 or 12 servings, IIRC.
