During your research please also figure out a good way to heat a jacket fermenter. (For the purpose of kviek fermentation or sasions)
That seems to be the big drawback

Small point of use water heater with the temp turned waaay down and a pair of automatic 3-way valves would do it. Drawback would be that at changeover warm glycol could get sent to the chiller increasing runtime.

Cartridge heater through a triclamp port?

If you're only running one conical, put a cartridge heater in the glycol. Works great for me.

Simple. Colman beverage cooler, an immersion heater, pump and ink bird. Quick disconnects are good for saving your sanity.
