I found some extra tubs of this. Any reason I should hold onto it for brewing?

Its a sanitizer, this one is meant for the dairy industry.

My main concern is its chlorine based, and I imagine would have the same concerns as using bleach as a sanitizer.

I think many slow dissolving pool sanitation tablets/powder have the same or similar active ingredient or the tri-chloro version of it. It would work great to sanitize if you have infection or mold problems, but you do need to rinse and let it air out well. You could add a little to your swamp cooler water to prevent nasties growing in there.

For everyday use, I'd stick to Starsan.

I've noticed it gets harder to obtain real chlorine bleach anymore. E.g., Chlorox is not simply sodium hypochloride anymore. It's now "color safe."
So this product can be a really good substitute.

Now at 2.4% there's not much active ingredient in your product. Pool tablets are like 90% or higher.
